STOOM Kitchen ("we," "us," "our," or "STOOM") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
This policy applies to the STOOM Kitchen application and website.

- Email address: used for account creation, login, and password recovery
- Kitchen and recipe data: menus, recipes, components, timers, prep notes, and service data that you create within STOOM
- Device information: device ID, browser type, and operating system to enable multi-device sync
Usage data
- Feature usage patterns (which tools you use, how often)
- Error logs for debugging and improvement
- Anonymized analytics (no personal identifiers)
Storage
- Local device storage: your data is stored locally using IndexedDB until you sync
- Cloud storage: synced data is stored on Turso (SQLite) and Vercel infrastructure in the EU region
How we use your data
- Service delivery: to sync your kitchens and recipes across your devices
- Account management: to authenticate you and maintain your account
- Product improvement: to understand how you use STOOM and improve features
- Technical support: to respond to your inquiries and troubleshoot issues
- Communications: only with your consent, to send product updates or features you may find useful (you can opt out anytime)
Cookies and local storage
STOOM uses browser cookies and local storage (IndexedDB) to:
- Keep you signed in
- Store your preferences
- Cache data for offline access
You can disable cookies in your browser, but this may impact the app's functionality. Local storage is under your control — clear it anytime through your browser settings.
Marketing & emails
We do not subscribe you to marketing emails automatically. Any marketing communication is opt-in only, and you can unsubscribe anytime by clicking the link in the email or contacting us.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access: request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format
- Deletion: request deletion of your account and associated data
- Export: export your kitchens and recipes at anytime within the app
- Correction: correct inaccurate data

Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We only share data with trusted service providers (Turso for database, Vercel for hosting) necessary to operate STOOM. These services have their own privacy policies and are GDPR-compliant.

We use industry-standard encryption and secure practices to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of STOOM constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
